Overview
Originally from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Mr. Corbett grew up on the inlet and in the woods of Horry County. Mr. Corbett attended Wofford College where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity and recipient of the “Heart of the Terrier” award and the “William Light Kinny III” award for his service in student government. After graduating from Wofford College in 2014, Mr. Corbett attended Campbell Law School in Raleigh North Carolina. In Law School, Mr. Corbett competed on moot court teams and participated in a clinic focused on providing bankruptcy representation to members of the community. Mr. Corbett clerked for the 6th Judicial Circuit Judge, the Honorable Brian Gibbons after law school and had his first taste of Chester County. After his clerkship, Mr. Corbett remained local practicing Personal Injury, Probate litigation, and Family law in Chester as well as the surrounding counties.
Mr. Corbett married Briana Morgan Smith of Atlanta, GA on October 16, 2021 and now resides in Richburg with their two standard poodles, Louie and Nugget. Outside of the law practice, Mr. Corbett is a member of the Richburg Fire Department and the Chester Rotary Club. The Corbett’s attends Chester Associate Reformed Presbyterian church where they play handbells, and assist in leading the youth. Mr. Corbett is a Christian and incorporates his faith into the legal practice which facilitates an ethical and positive environment. When he is not fighting fire, or fighting in the courtroom, Mr. Corbett enjoys spending time with family, his multiple hobbies, and frequenting Chester businesses and events.
