Attorney Information

Overview

Now practicing law as an associate attorney, Florence native Kayla Jebaily Adams was essentially raised at Jebaily Law Firm, where she previously worked as a runner, receptionist, and legal assistant before going to law school.

“I was inspired growing up in this office and watching my dad, aunt, uncle, and all the other dedicated attorneys work hard to help people who were facing the most challenging times in their lives,” she says. “Their dedication and passion to helping injured people drove me to want to do the same.”

In her current role at the law firm, Kayla assists clients in matters involving personal injury lawsuits, workers’ compensation claims, and Social Security disability benefits. “I love being able to make a difference in someone’s life. To know that I can make a difficult time easier on someone is rewarding,” she says. “Words cannot express how grateful I am to be here today and to have the opportunity to help those in difficult situations.”

Helping people comes naturally to Kayla. Before she embarked on a legal career, she served several years as the Director of Philanthropy for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Pee Dee Area. “While I loved my time at Boys & Girls Clubs, I felt a calling to help people in a different way and decided to go to law school,” she says.

Kayla graduated magna cum laude with a J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2024. While in law school, she was admitted to the Order of Wig and Robe and the Order of the Coif. Kayla also holds a Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina (2018) and a B.A. in Political Science from Clemson University (2015). She graduated from South Florence High School in 2011.

Serving the community where she was born and raised is a positive aspect of Kayla’s legal practice at Jebaily Law Firm. “I love the opportunity to meet and connect with new people every day. Not only do I get to work with several of my family members, but I also get to connect with people through the extended Jebaily Law Firm family,” she says.

Family-like ties extend beyond blood relations at the firm, according to Kayla. “We view our clients as family so getting to know each of our clients and develop a relationship with them is important to us,” she says. “I am really excited I get to do that here.”

Her previous work in the community includes volunteering for the Darlington County Humane Society, serving as a board member for Young Professionals of Florence, freelance writing for Savvy Mag, VIP Magazine, and Diversity Works, and graduating from Francis Marion University’s Fred R. Sheheen Nonprofit Leadership Institute. In July of 2025, Kayla had the pleasure of participating as a volunteer at a Wills Clinic hosted by the SC Bar Pro Bono Program. This type of work demonstrates her unrelenting commitment to helping improve the lives of others in the community.

When not busy practicing law and contributing to community organizations, Kayla says she enjoys eating good food and spending time with her family and her two dogs, Benji and Beans.
