Overview
Al Martin has been a lawyer for over 30 years. He’s tried hundreds of job injury cases throughout South Carolina. Al has handled claims involving traumatic brain injury, incomplete paraplegia, amputations, spinal cord injury, electrocution, and death. Other lawyers refer difficult work accident cases to him. In 2005, Al established Martin & Martin Attorneys, P.A., along with Laura Martin. Since that time, he’s devoted his practice to representing injured persons. Selected for the Martindale-Hubbell “AV-rating” by his legal community peers every year since 1998. And rated “10.0 Superb” by AVVO, the highest awarded by the online rating service. Al Martin was raised in Fort Mill, South Carolina, the youngest of four and the only boy. His father was an FBI agent and his mother was a high school teacher. He is a 1987 graduate of The Citadel and received his law degree from Mercer University in 1991. Al served on active duty in the US Army from 1991-1994 with the 82nd Airborne Division. He is married to the lovely and talented Laura and they have three children. They have lived in Greenville since 1995.
Al is admitted to practice in South Carolina, Georgia, the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, and the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar (Workers’ Compensation Section), the State Bar of Georgia, the Greenville County Bar, and the Injured Workers Advocates.
