Scott's grandmother told him he should become a lawyer because he could always understand both sides of every argument. That ability still drives his work today. Scott began his legal career in New Orleans, practicing on the defense side. Then Hurricane Katrina hit, and he and his family lost everything. In the aftermath, he watched insurance companies take advantage of the most vulnerable victims, and it changed the direction of his career. He switched sides to advocate for people who need someone by their side during one of the hardest times of their lives.
Scott has been practicing law for almost 30 years. As our Head of Legal, he helps us fight relentlessly for our clients. Having worked on both sides, he knows how insurance companies and their lawyers think, and he puts that insight to work for the people we represent. When he can't negotiate a fair settlement for an injured family, he knows exactly how to take the case to trial. Standing up to the largest corporations, insurance companies, and their defense attorneys is what he does best.
Today, Scott handles all types of personal injury cases, and there's very little he hasn't seen. He knows firsthand how it feels to face an uncertain future without anyone in your corner. That's why he's committed to advocating for you every step of the way, so you can focus on healing instead of paperwork and back-and-forth with the other side.

When asked to describe himself as an attorney in one word, Scott chose determined. "determined: wanting to do something very much and not allowing anyone or any difficulties to stop you..." Scott works tirelessly to reach the best possible resolution for his clients, and he brings a never-give-up attitude to every case. He never walks away from a fight, especially when an injured family is counting on him.
Personal Interests
Raised in Maryland, Scott has called Greenville, South Carolina, home since 2005. He and his wife, Amanda, have been married for more than 25 years and have a daughter and a son. When he’s not preparing for trial, Scott enjoys tailgating at Clemson football games, boating on Lake Keowee, heading to the beach at Pawleys Island, and traveling internationally.
