Overview
Lewis L. Cobb joined the Firm as a partner in 1987. A member of the Firm since then, he concentrates his practice in the areas of litigation, municipal law and general civil litigation.
Mr. Cobb graduated from the University of Tennessee (cum laude ) in 1974. He entered the College of Law the same year and received his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1976. In law school he was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Torts. He was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Tennessee in 1977 and all state lower and appellate courts. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Cobb is a member of the American Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association and the Jackson-Madison County Bar Association. He served on the State of Tennessee Assessment Appeals Commission (1980-1981) and was Chairman of the Madison County Election Commission (1986-1991). Mr. Cobb currently is the City Attorney for the City of Jackson.
