Overview

Ryan Sarr joined Trammell, Adkins & Ward as an Associate in November 2018. His practice is focused primarily on defense litigation involving workers’ compensation, automobile accidents, homeowners’ claims, fire and casualty, premises liability, general liability, and insurance coverage. Ryan received his law degree from the University of Memphis in 2013. He spent the next five years practicing in Middle Tennessee, where he focused on workers’ compensation and premises liability defense. Ryan has successfully defended self-insured corporations, insurance companies, and individuals in trials throughout the state of Tennessee. He frequently presents seminars to corporations and insurance companies on topics such as Tennessee workers’ compensation law and defense strategies.
Ryan is an active member of the Knoxville and Tennessee Bar Associations, Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association, and Defense Research Institute. While in law school, he was member of the Moot Court Board and University of Memphis National Moot Court Competition team. He also served as a law clerk for the Shelby County Criminal Circuit Courts, where he handled pre-trial and post-conviction matters in felony criminal cases.
Ryan is a native of Cookeville, Tennessee and graduated from Cookeville High School in 2006. Ryan and his wife Megan reside in Knoxville. They enjoy traveling the United States, hiking America’s national parks, and spending time outside with their two dogs, Ziggy and Jax. They are also active runners, most recently completing the 2018 Great Smoky Mountains Half Marathon.
