Before entering law school, Mr. Vines attended Tusculum College in East Tennessee. He graduated at the top of his class with a magna cum laude distinction while also being named an All-American in football during his Junior and Senior years. The value of hard work has always been a guiding principal for Mr. Vines. During law school at the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, he worked for three years as a law clerk to help pay his tuition and had the opportunity to intern for the Honorable David Kennedy of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Tennessee. Mr. Vines also volunteered his time during law school assisting the youth of the Mid-South in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program of the Mid-South.
It is important to Mr. Vines to give back to the Mid-South community. He volunteers to counsel disadvantaged parents in West Tennessee during IEP meetings with public school administrators and teachers. Mr. Vines has a passion for the youth of this regional community and regularly volunteers as a youth coach in church and recreational sports leagues. During his career, Mr. Vines has volunteered in numerous literacy programs for young children in public schools in East and West Tennessee.
The two bedrock principles of Mr. Vines’ law practice are the pursuit of legal excellence for injury victims and to treat clients with utmost respect and provide selfless compassion during some of the most difficult periods of their lives. Mr. Vines treats his clients as second family members during the entire legal process. This allows him to obtain invaluable knowledge and insight into the unique harms and losses they have suffered.
Mr. Vines chairs NST’s Trucking Accident Practice Group, and he is focused on and committed to using the legal system to correct injustice for those who have suffered catastrophic injuries or lost a loved one. With the help of the highly accomplished trial teams at NST, Mr. Vines has won large verdicts and resolved difficult cases in the areas of car wrecks, catastrophic tractor-trailer wrecks, heavy equipment collisions, negligent security, job-place safety, livestock/car collisions, and playground injuries. Mr. Vines and NST have won verdicts and resolved cases for the disadvantaged and underdog injury victims that have made the world safer and more fair in the legal process against corporations and insurance companies
