Michael G. Mr. McLaren has been admitted to the Tennessee Bar, U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Claims Court, U.S. District Court for the Western and Middle Districts of Tennessee, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Mississippi and U.S. Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit.
A native of Joliet, Illinois, Mr. McLaren received a B.A. at Yale University in 1972. He earned his J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago in 1976. In 1975-1976, Mr. McLaren was an instructor for legal writing and the editor of Blackacre at Loyola University of Chicago. Mr. McLaren was Executive Vice-President and General Counsel at Wright Medical Technology, Inc., in 1998. He has given several lectures, including a lecture on "How Hollywood Handles Legal Ethics," Memphis Bar Association, Destin, Florida, 2004; "Expert Witnesses," Memphis Bar Association, Destin Florida and Memphis, Tennessee, 2003; "Initial Evaluation of Claims and Early Litigation Checklist" at the Republic Claims Service Meeting in Dallas, Texas in 1995 and again in Atlanta in 2002. In addition to his legal career, Mr. McLaren has appeared in A Time to Kill, The Firm, The People v. Larry Flynt, and other feature films.
Memberships include the National Congressional Advisory Committee on Childhood Vaccines, 1998-2001; Memphis and Tennessee Bar Associations; and the International Association of Defense Counsel (Faculty Member, Trial Academy, 1997).
