0.5 out of 5 stars

I purchased a brand new Dodge Durango in May 2017. It had 50 miles on it and that's because they drove it to my house from the dealership. The truck came with Bridgestone tires. About 2 weeks ago I took the truck to my local firestone for a oil change and was told I need new tires and soon. I was shocked since I have only had the truck a short time. I called Bridgestone and the warranty rep informed me the tires were made specifically for my truck to save gas not so much for treading and that is why they have no warranty. I was shocked because I only have about 24k miles on my truck. He then said that he wanted me to have a positive experience with the company and that if I take my truck back to firestone, have them measure the tread Bridgestone would offer me at least a discount or just take care of all 4 new tires for my truck. So I did what he asked. The firestone employee called Bridgestone while I stood right next to him. They spoke and the the employee said to me (while Bridgestone was still on the phone) Bridgestone could only replace 2 tires because they were 4's and the other 2 tires were 5's. He said I could get 2 now and the other 2 later or wait to get them all done at the same time. I then asked if they take care of two now will Bridgestone still take care of the other 2 later. The employee asked Bridgestone and then told me yes. Either way Bridgestone will take care of replacing all your tires. I asked do I need it in writting? I was told no because its all on the reference#. After the firestone employee hung up with Bridgestone I asked his professional opinion about if I should wait or get two now. He said its better to wait but either way Bridgestone said they would take care of everything so its up to me. I decided to wait. I was so happy with the customer service from Bridgestone I raved to my friends how customer service really was great and that I would always be a customer. Then I called Bridgestone back the next week to make sure everything was noted properly on the reference number because I was going to go have my tires rechecked. Having not so great tires worries me I have 2 small kids. Well to my shock all the information had change. I learned that I would have to pay for labor. In was shocked since that was never disclosed to me before. Then I was told Bridgestone would only prorate my tires! That is totally different than what I had been told the week before. I have tried talking with the warranty department with no resolve. Its kinda like oh well! I was told the calls would be reviewed but no one has called me back and its been 48 hours. I'm so devastated that I am being treated this way. I trusted Bridgeston/Firestone and it was all in vain it seems. They offered me a deal that was not even close to my original offer and are acting like they are doing me a favor! Honor the original agreement! They were not even open to negotiation and I ask to speak to the director and I was refused all information regarding that. They are dishonest. Check some of their reviews you will see I’m not the only one who feels they are dishonest.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
