Ms. Amin also has extensive experience with complex immigration matters as she has successfully assisted clients obtain their legal permanent resident cards and United States citizenship. Ms. Amin has assisted clients successfully obtain Battered Spouse Waivers, U-Visas, has assisted individuals petition for their relatives. Finally, Ms. Amin has experience in conducting administrative hearings, small business incorporation, appeals, and prosecuting personal injury matters.
Prior work experience:
Ms. Amin's past work experience includes working for New York Legal Assistance Group where she represented individuals in divorce, child support, custody, family offense and paternity proceedings. Ms. Amin also assisted individuals obtain citizenship and their legal permanent residence cards through battered spouse waivers, Violence Against Women's Act petitions and U and T visa applications.
Prior to that, Ms. Amin worked for the Administration for Children Services in their Family Court legal Services department representing the agency in child abuse and neglect proceedings.
Ms. Amin also worked as a Compliance Attorney for the Garden City Group, Inc., where she ensured compliance with a multi-district litigation Court Order governing the administration of a $20 billion settlement compensation fund created in response to the 2010 Deepwater Horizon British Petroleum oil spill.
