Attorney Information
Overview
Hollye is a partner and a member of the firm Leadership Team. She focuses her practice on business, estate planning and probate law, with a particular emphasis on guardianships and contested fiduciary litigation. Known for her practical approach and ability to guide clients through sensitive family and financial matters, she combines sharp legal expertise with genuine compassion.
A cum laude graduate of Texas Tech University and Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law, Hollye has built her career helping individuals and families protect their legacies while resolving complex disputes with clarity and care. Her clients appreciate not only her deep knowledge of the law but also her approachable style and dedication to achieving positive outcomes.
When Hollye steps away from the office, her life continues to be about positive outcomes—but with a lot more cheering involved. She and her husband, Brent, are busy raising their four kids to be motivated, well-grounded Christ followers (with plenty of sports equipment and travel ball weekends thrown in).
The Hawkins crew are full-blown sports junkies. Hollye stays active running, swinging a tennis racket, teeing off on the golf course, and skiing—whether it’s on snow or water depends on the season. Her kids keep the action going with baseball, basketball, and volleyball, while the whole family rallies around them playing on their school and club teams. Saturdays and Sundays in the fall mean football—college or pro—and March brings a family obsession with college hoops. And when it comes to rooting interests, it’s all about the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the SMU Mustangs.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
