Steve Gibbins was recommended to me by my brother who had worked tiredly to get him off deferred adjudicated probation and got him off probation with out having to show up to court. I was on deferred adjudicated probation for six years I contacted Steve Gibbins when I completed half of my time Steve is very knowledgeable, professional, and has great communication he worked tiredly for 1 month to get me off probation and out of no where got the call where I don’t have to show up that he got the judge to sign and I am off probation. Steve is a great guy and you can trust him to handle your case while you still proceed with your daily life. Thank you Steve Gibbins for everything.

After 13 years, I needed Steve to expunge my record and he did so without hesitation! Not only was he great in court (charges dismissed) but he just processed my expungement quick, fast and in a hurry! I truly am grateful and blessed that God led me to Steve, as he has been a blessing in my life.

Excellent attorney who listened and was dedicated to my case. He took the time to explain the details of my situation, what should happen, what can happen, and most importantly, how he would proceed with my case. He was very responsive to all my questions across phone, text and email conversations. Steve successfully resolved my case.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
