I will say for me to write a review the person I'm writing the review for is well worth it . Mr. Popper represented me in 4 felony cases and he is by far the one of the best attorneys you can hire in Travis County.. His knowledge of the system and day to day interactions with the entire process makes him stand tall at the very top for attorneys to hire for Criminal defense. He does what he says he is going to do and that alone is a reason for rehire in my book. Not only did he have me bailed out within 48 hours from initial contact he followed through with what he said he would do .. Mr. Popper had all my felonys dismissed and will be getting them removed from my record soon . I wanted to thank him again for his hard work he does everyday for the people here in Travis County but also make a point to tell him Thank you again Mr. Popper for doing what you did for me and many others in Travis County Court System.. You are the best in my book .. So if your looking to hire an Pro attorney who knows the Travis County Court System then look no further you have found the attorney to hire.. Mr Charles Popper .

Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
