Hired Law firm 2023-2025This is the worst firm I could have possibly EVER imagined retaining. I am disabled, and needed a simple final court order to be filed on my behalf. Mr. Sanchez filed the 1st court order, over 2 years but has taken advantage of me and my disabilities over the last 1.5+ years. I paid this firm a retainer to see the case through resolution and after the inital court order my experience has been nothing but stalling tactics, broken promises and excuses, even as recently as 2 days ago. As I count in my e-mails 7 broken promises to finish this off with no results. Mr. Sanchez is an outright liar. First, my case has been pending for over 1.5 years. Second, the office staff is a trainwreck, as they have fired both paralegals assigned to my case. Third, it is almost impossible to talk to Mr. Sanchez directly, as the operator runs interference. However, after 1.5 years, I finally had a discussion with Mr.Sanchez and 3 broken promises since, over the last month. The excuses have ranged from I'm too tired, long day in court to thank you for your patience, to, I'll get a draft to you tomorrow. I will definitely be getting the State Bar involved tomorrow and file every negative review imaginable, on every platform, so as to warn every potential client BEWARE, as Mr. Sanchez is not good stewards of your case, finances and cannot be trusted.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
