Jason McMinn - Austin, TX

Jason McMinn, an aggressive trial attorney, founded the McMinn Law Firm in 2005. Jason was born and raised in central Texas, and after graduating from high school, he attended the University of Texas for a degree in Business Administration and Texas Tech University for a degree in law.

Jason began his legal career working for Decker, Jones, McMackin, McClane, Hall & Bates, P.C., a large established law firm in Fort Worth, Texas. His primary practice areas were business litigation, medical malpractice defense, and general insurance defense. Jason worked closely with some of the top defense attorneys in the State of Texas. He exercised a hands-on approach, and his employers allowed him more involvement with the litigation process than most of his peers. When tort reform took a toll on the defense work available, Jason saw an opportunity to start his own firm with the vast array of knowledge and expertise he had gained. He moved the firm to New Braunfels in 2006, intending to cater to this growing Texas community. Through his satellite office in Victoria, TX, he focused on the smaller Texas counties extending to the gulf coast.

In August of 2007, the McMinn Law Firm moved its main office to Austin after experiencing great success with its original New Braunfels office. Expanding to the Texas capital city allowed the law firm to extend its services to the urban populace while also maintaining the New Braunfels office for personal injury and selective criminal cases. The firm also decided to narrow its practice to personal injury and criminal trial law.

The McMinn Law Firm's common approach involves an exclusive focus on litigation areas of law, which require experience, innovation, and personable trial techniques. Jason has had significant trial experience in criminal law and personal injury cases since the formation of the firm.

He has an enormous amount of trial experience in this area of law. Mr. McMinn genuinely enjoys helping people overcome their criminal charges by offering advice, legal representation, and trust. He ensures the system does not take advantage of a person's demographics or lifestyle.

The attorney rating company, Super Lawyers, selected Jason as a "Rising Star" for 2013. He is also acting president of the Las Hadas Homeowner's Association in Seguin, Texas. He is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and was president of the Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association.

Jason and his wife, Heather, who is the District Attorney for Guadalupe, Gonzales, and Lavaca counties, are happily married with four children. When he's not at the office, Jason enjoys spending his free time with his family and being outdoors.
