Overview
As Managing Attorney at Just Well Law, Jessica Yaeger brings a steadfast commitment to justice and rigorous advocacy to every case. While leading the firm’s operations and legal strategy, Jessica ensures that our mission, helping clients recover well, is rooted in compassion, precision, and unwavering dedication.
Jessica is licensed in Texas, Louisiana, and Illinois, and admitted to practice in the Western District of Texas, Western District of Louisiana, and Middle District of Louisiana. She earned her Juris Doctor and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law from Louisiana State University in 2015, after completing her Bachelor’s degree in Counseling and Health Psychology at Emmanuel College in 2011. While in law school, she served as a federal judicial clerk for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Hill in the Western District of Louisiana, gaining valuable insight into federal practice and judicial decision-making.
Before joining Just Well Law, Jessica served as Managing Attorney at DC Law in Austin, Texas, where she led teams of attorneys and legal staff, oversaw docket management across the firm, and spearheaded strategic initiatives. She also has a passion for giving back. In 2018, Jessica was received the Outstanding Attorney Award by the Lafayette Bar Association for her pro bono work with indigent women needing assistance with protective orders and divorces.
After moving to Texas in 2021, Jessica has become a trusted leader in Austin’s legal community. Jessica serves on the Board of the Barbara Jordan Inn of Court and is a member of both CATLA and TTLA. She also volunteers as a mock trial judge at the University of Texas School of Law, mentoring the next generation of trial attorneys with real-world courtroom experience. Jessica is an active trial attorney, and in addition to her leadership roles, she values the opportunity to keep her advocacy skills sharp in the courtroom.
At Just Well Law, Jessica shares the firm’s founding conviction: that justice begins with wellness, and that families deserve advocates who understand how exposure to environmental toxins disrupts every aspect of life. Her leadership harmonizes empathy with strategic excellence, amplifying the firm’s ability to fight for clients’ recovery and well-being.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
