John K. Drisdale Jr. - Austin, TX

With more than 40 years of broad-based corporate financing and business law practice behind him, John K. Drisdale brings vast experience to his role as Attorney of Counsel at Blazier, Christensen, Bigelow & Virr, P.C. Specializing in mergers & acquisitions, financing & recapitalizations, corporate & business succession planning, and contract negotiations, Mr. Drisdale is also known for successfully handling legal issues pertaining to private equity, entity restructuring, and commercial real estate acquisitions and sales.

Along with serving as Attorney of Counsel to the Firm, Mr. Drisdale is the principal and solo practitioner at Drisdale Law Firm, PLLC, a boutique corporate law firm in Austin. Prior to going out on his own, he served as general counsel of an international insurance holding company listed on the American Stock Exchange, general counsel and principal in a private equity investment firm with portfolio company revenues exceeding $400,000,000, and partner in the corporate section of a major national law firm.

Measuring success by the outcomes he reaches, Mr. Drisdale has seen many of his clients evolve from small, entrepreneurial businesses to nationally recognized leaders in their industries. He holds the highest peer review Martindale rating for legal skills and ethics.

Mr. Drisdale received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University and his law degree from Baylor University, where he graduated Cum Laude in 1979. A native Texan, he and his wife have called Austin home for 25 years and love the city due to its vibrant business community and exceptional quality of life. Active in the local community, he is a volunteer for Lake Travis Crisis Ministries and elsewhere. He and his wife have four grown children.
