Judith often eliminates controversies in a case with this one skill—and that saves her clients time, stress, and money. That’s important to Judith, because she wants her clients to come out of their marriage with as much as possible—and not spend it all paying lawyers to fight over things that don’t really matter in the end. As a happily married mother and grandmother, Judith knows what really matters in the end.
Judith’s goal for her clients is to help them become stronger and better able to cope with the consequences of a failed marriage. She never forgets that the people she represents are real people who have to one day leave her office able to manage a life very different from the one they envisioned when they got married. She focuses not only on their financial well-being, but on their ability to move forward as a co-parent or single person, many of whom are getting back into the workplace for the first time in many years.
Judith graduated from the University of Texas School of Law with honors in 1987, after obtaining her English degree from UT. She worked as a commercial litigator with a large Austin firm for several years, where she learned not only the practice of litigation, but business as well. Like many of her contemporaries, she and her husband made the decision that she would stay home for several years with their young children. With their two oldest in college, she decided to go back to work, becoming a family law attorney. Judith has quickly gained the respect of her peers, being honored as a Texas Monthly “Super Lawyer” every year since 2015, and recognized by Best Lawyers every year since 2019.
When she’s not working, Judith enjoys spending time with her family (especially her grandchildren), travelling with her husband, Bill (a partner at the commercial law firm DuBois Bryant & Campbell), reading and writing.
