Lianna was born in San Benito, Texas located in the Texas Rio Grande Valley. She lived there until moving to Austin to attend the University of Texas at Austin. She graduated with a B.A. in Philosophy, a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in English. She is a second generation Mexican-American and the first member of her family to graduate from college. After graduating, Lianna moved to Houston where she earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2012 and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas that same year.
From 2012 to 2018, Lianna worked at two prestigious family law firms in Houston, Texas. During her time in Houston, she handled divorces involving family-owned businesses, multi-million-dollar estates, and contested child custody disputes. In 2018, Lianna moved back to Austin to continue to grow her stellar reputation in the Texas family law community as a trial attorney with her trademark client-focused approach and unparalleled work ethic. Prior to co-founding Deyerle Silva Smith, PLLC, Lianna was a Partner at Kirker Davis, a family law firm in Austin, Texas.
