Attorney Information

Overview

Mark was born and raised in Northeast Dallas, where he learned early on the value of hard work, community, and his love for the Dallas Cowboys. He earned his B.S. in Criminal Justice from Texas State University, and during an internship with a local law firm, he realized he had found his calling in the legal field.

After a short stint in Houston, Mark made the move to San Antonio to pursue his law degree at St. Mary’s University School of Law, where he was named the Super Brief Winner for the best overall brief in his class. As a first-generation law student, Mark balanced night classes while working full-time at Clayton, Ramirez & Null Law, sharpening his legal skills and his coffee preferences at the same time.

In 2023, Mark earned his J.D. and returned to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where he now lives with his two energetic (and very spoiled) dogs, Kahlua and Piper. Outside the office, you can find him volunteering at pro bono clinics, coaching little league baseball teams, attending concerts, or enjoying an afternoon on the golf course.

At Clayton, Ramirez & Null Law, Mark assists clients with real estate transactions, estate planning, and business and commercial transactions.

Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
