Overview
Suzanne Pope litigates a wide variety of cases, with particular focus on white collar criminal and regulatory defense, as well as complex civil litigation. Suzanne’s range of litigation experience includes formerly serving as National Supervising Counsel for Chrysler Corporation Warranty Litigation and also as Senior Counsel in the SEC’s Division of Enforcement. Suzanne graduated from Georgetown University Law Center and is admitted to the bars of Michigan and Pennsylvania.
During her tenure at the SEC, Suzanne investigated and/or instituted civil enforcement actions and administrative proceedings involving violations of federal securities laws, including cases involving broker-dealer and investment adviser regulation, fraudulent securities offerings, financial fraud, hedge fund fraud, and market manipulation. Her practice entailed managing numerous complex cases; interviewing and deposing witnesses; drafting subpoenas and pleadings; negotiating settlements; and working closely with court-appointed receivers and international securities regulators.
Since joining Ford O'Brien Landy LLP Suzanne has worked on a variety of significant civil and criminal matters including regulatory inquiries initiated by the SEC, FINRA, FTC, and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System; business matters including a breach of contract matter involving a prominent New York real estate broker and a global financial broker; and white collar criminal matters including the defense of a former executive in a complex securities action brought by federal authorities.
