    Hired Law firm 2018-2019
I highly ,strongly and, in good conscience BEG anyone reading or looking for a law firm to steer very far from this firm. I cannot stress enough. This firm is soooooo highly unprofessional and clueless. I am a working professional in corporate america for many years. I would have fired everyone on my my staff( which he did at the beginning of my son's case) then proceeded to hire still very lazy, unprofessional, non caring individuals including himself (Efram Sewell) that I have ever had the experience of working with!!!!! This law firm is a JOKE. I literally had to make all calls for updates except 3. I spoke with the Mr. Sewell 2 and both calls I initiated. I spoke with the help I can;t say how may times and each time the call was initiated by me.....except for 2 return calls that I had personally left several messages for a follow up and update on my son't case. Accident happened end of Oct 2018, It is June 2019 and still no $$$$$. Not even getting into the poor job they did in representing him to even get money. I could have handled the case myself thru my insurance people and gotten more money and not have had to pay the 1/3........WHICH BY THE WAY they refused to budge on any type of negotiation with me because of the horrible and unprofessional way that they handled the case. I asked . Mr Sewell if he felt he was deserving of 1/3 of my son's money and he actually said that that is their policy??????? Policy how can you claim to have policy in your office when your workers are the most unprofessional, uninformed, uneducated in law that I have ever dealt with!!!!!!! NO I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS LAW FIRM!!!!!!!!!!!

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
