Ms. Disch has tried cases to juries and to the bench in Texas state district courts and federal district courts in Texas for over 23 years. She has also arbitrated cases before the American Arbitration Association and local Boards of Realtors, Texas Association of Realtors, and the NASD. In addition, Ms. Disch has successfully handled appeals of summary judgments in the court of appeals. Ms. Disch handles litigation matters throughout the State of Texas.

Ms. Disch has extensive experience representing professionals in litigation matters. Typical clients include commercial and residential real estate agents, brokers, brokerage companies when in litigation in State or Federal Court, Complaints before the Texas Real Estate Commission, Texas Association of Realtors, and various Boards of Realtors. In addition, Ms. Disch represents individuals and/or corporate clients involved in disputes related to real estate whether commercial or residential. Other professional clients include insurance agents/brokers, securities brokers, financial planners, appraisers, mortgage brokers, builders, directors, and other professionals, as well as commercial development, and hotel development and management. Her practice frequently involves representing these professionals in negligence, fraud claims, deceptive trade practices claims, contractual and commission dispute, as well as other industry-specific claims. Recently, Ms. Disch represented real estate companies involved in the NAR litigation. Ms. Disch also handles business disputes, including between businesses and former employees. Ms. Disch is approved panel counsel for numerous insurance carriers. Ms. Disch also frequently advised real estate brokerages on topics ranging from best practices, reducing risk and agent- related issues.

Mediation

Ms. Disch also maintains a mediation practice. She completed mediator training at the AA White Dispute Resolution Center at the University of Houston over a decade ago and enjoys assisting parties find creative resolutions to their legal disputes.

Professional Clerkship

Ms. Disch held a professional clerkship with the 125th Civil District court in Harris County, Texas for 3 ½ years.

Teaching & Writing

Ms. Disch has written courses for the State Bar of Texas including most recently When Good Homes Go Bad: Residential Services Contracts, for the Advanced Consumer Law Course (August 2011). She has also written courses approved by the Texas Real Estate Commission for continuing education.
