Wafeeq is a native Houstonian who grew up on the southeast part of town. He attended the University of Houston where he graduated with honors and received his Bachelor’s degree in Finance in 2019. While attending the University of Houston in undergrad, Wafeeq was a manager of the University of Houston Men’s Basketball team, and was an active member of The Finance Association.Wafeeq then attended law school at the University of Houston Law Center where he graduated in 2022.During law school, Wafeeq volunteered for the school’s Entrepreneurship and Development Clinic which provided business legal advice to underrepresented communities in Houston. Wafeeq also was the Intramural Sports Director for the Student Bar Association, and resumed his role as a Student Manager for the University of Houston Men’s Basketball Team.
