I was adopting a child through CPS and wasn't informed until the very last minute that I'd need a lawyer, and CPS offered no assistance. I was incredibly upset and panicking. Every firm I called demanded an outrageous sum just to provide a quote. But then I called Huckaby Hicks. From the moment they answered, I was immediately put at ease. I genuinely felt like they cared about my situation. The person I spoke with listened patiently as I rambled and stressed, and she truly helped put me at ease. They were so kind and understanding throughout the entire process, answering every question I had. They also recognized I was on a budget and made a genuine effort to keep my costs down. Before the hearing, Whitney thoroughly explained how everything would proceed. During the hearing itself, she was exceptionally professional, knowing exactly what questions to ask to ensure the judge had all the necessary information. Her demeanor was impeccable.
