Hired Law firm 2025-2026We appeared in court; however, my counsel, after months of representation, failed to ensure that required service of process had been completed prior to the hearing. As a result, the opposing party was never served, and the court did not hear the matter due to procedural defects. The merits of my case were never addressed. Following the hearing, I was advised by counsel that the matter would be appealed or refiled. Despite those assurances, no appeal or refiling occurred. Over the next seven months, I made multiple attempts to contact my attorney for status updates and to move the case forward. Those attempts were unsuccessful. During this period, no corrective action was taken, no appeal was filed, and no refiling occurred. As a result of counsel’s inaction, the applicable appeal period expired, and the case is now procedurally barred. My retainer and fees were expended, and I have been left without the promised legal remedy and without the opportunity to have my claims heard on the merits. I believed in her.
