Jerry D. Lee III - Corpus Christi, TX

Jerry D. Lee, III was born in Flushing, New York and primarily was raised in the Midwestern cities of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Chicago, Illinois with a splash of Dallas, Texas influence due to his parents relocating to the DFW-area when he was 18-years-old. As an undergraduate, he developed an interest in pursuing a career as an attorney, and this interest further developed when he took a class in business law.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Lee worked for the City of Indianapolis in the Department of Metropolitan Development where he worked in the areas of Planning and with the Community Development Block Grant. These opportunities enabled him to understand the importance of listening and being responsive to community needs.

Mr. Lee decided that he was going back to school to pursue a law degree. After completing his law degree and passing the Texas bar exam, he worked contractually in Houston, Texas on various document review projects and within Family IV-D Child Support courts as an appointed attorney for those that could not afford an attorney. Mr. Lee then obtained a contractual position with Thompson Reuters in Rochester, New York as a Legal Editor; however, Mr. Lee did not stay in New York and relocated to Austin, Texas where he worked in administrative law for the Texas Workforce Commission, Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners, and Texas Health and Human Services-Office of Inspector General.

These positions further developed Mr. Lee’s advocacy skills and he has transferred the skills acquired from such positions to enthusiastically advocate on behalf of clients as an Associate Attorney with Thomas J. Henry Law. Mr. Lee believes in fighting for clients to ensure equitable outcomes.

Outside of legal practice, Mr. Lee enjoys engaging in activities that promote a healthy mind and body. These include reading non-fiction books, writing poetry, vegan cooking, weightlifting, and participating in community service projects. The Christian faith is an important aspect of Mr. Lee’s life. and he seeks to follow the counsel given in scripture to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God (see Micah 6:8 KJV).
