Hired Law firm 2015We dealt with this law firm in June 2015. I agree with the other review. Incompetent is the word for them. They felt like I needed some document saying that certain family members shouldn’t be able to touch my body. I’ve never heard of that in my life. They royally screwed up on the family names in my will. It was like they weren’t listening at all. I had to rewrite everything myself. I should have balked at paying for such crappy work. Also, we mailed some documents with a check stapled to it. They received the papers but lost the check.

Hired Law firm 2016Working with this group of incompetent lawyers is a total waste of time They double bill and hypothesized about what to do but NEVER took any action Everything is via consortium, one lawyer won’t commit to a plan of action unless 1 or more concur, each of which will bill for their input, even though you only paid one retainer each lawyer bills for the same end result that one lawyer should have been able to construe Therefore they eat up the retainer in making 1 or two decisions none of which result in any action There is no accountability for this tactic. There is no forensic accountant so they are not staffed to address and mitigate complex trust accounting issues RUN don’t walk away from this firm

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
