Overview
Alexia P. Nicoloulias entered the legal profession with a background in business and public policy. Alexia's knowledge of the inner workings of how a business is formed and what it takes to be successful helps her understand her clients’ needs and goals. Her primary practice areas are complex litigation, premise liability, construction defect, and business contract disputes. Alexia represents a range of clients, such as individual homeowners seeking damages in state court to defending national and local corporations in federal court.
During law school, Alexia was actively involved in advocacy groups and competed in the Hofstra Law National Medical-Legal Mock Trial Tournament where her team placed in the semi-finals. She also served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable E. Lee Morris, Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of Texas.
Alexia is a child of the Midwest as she was born in Indiana and raised in multiple states of the Midwest. She has traveled internationally since she was nine months old and is proficient in Greek. One of Alexia's passions is advocating for rescue animals and fostering dogs from local shelters. Her passion led her to become a co-chair of the DAYL Animal Welfare Committee where she actively participates and promotes events dedicated to improving the welfare of animals in Texas. Alexia likes to spend her free time with friends, family and most importantly, her rescue dog, Demetri.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
