Carmen Aurora Torres is a dedicated lawyer with over a decade of experience in immigration law. She is a member of both the State Bars of Texas and of Puerto Rico, as well as of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Carmen’s career is built upon a commitment to advocacy and service. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies - Pre-Law and a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico. While there she contributed significantly as a legal intern with the Department of Homeland Security in San Juan, she collaborated on the Puerto Rico Penal Code of 2012 and represented indigent clients through the Legal Aid Clinic.
Before joining Reina & Associates, Carmen practiced immigration law exclusively for five years and worked closely with the former District Counsel of USCIS in San Juan. She brings her experience, acumen, and dedication to justice to bear in matters of family-based immigration, naturalization, humanitarian relief, and removal defense. Carmen is a native Spanish speaker.

Miembro del Colegio de Abogados de Texas y Puerto Rico y de la Asociación Americana de Abogados de Inmigración, la carrera de Carmen se basa en un compromiso con la defensa y el servicio. Posee una Licenciatura en Estudios Multidisciplinarios - Pre-Derecho y un Juris Doctor de la Universidad de Puerto Rico, donde hizo contribuciones significativas como pasante legal en el Departamento de Seguridad Nacional en San Juan. Durante sus estudios de derecho, colaboró en la redacción del Código Penal de Puerto Rico de 2012 y brindó representación fundamental a clientes indigentes a través de la Clínica de Asistencia Legal.
Antes de unirse a Reina & Associates, Carmen pasó cinco años en práctica privada, especializándose exclusivamente en derecho migratorio, trabajando de cerca con la abogada exconsejera del Distrito de USCIS en San Juan. Con más de una década de experiencia, Carmen se especializa en inmigración basada en la familia, naturalización, alivio humanitario y defensa en procesos de deportación, enfocándose en casos de solicitudes humanitarias.
