Attorney Information
Overview
I joined Kilgore & Kilgore PLLC in 2017, as Senior Counsel, after 19 years with another Dallas law firm as Stockholder and Senior Litigation Partner by the name of Quilling, Selander, Lownds, Winslett & Moser. Between 1986 and 1993, I was a Partner, Shareholder, or Associate with several law firms in Dallas. Prior to that, I served as a Captain with the Judge Advocate General’s Corp, U. S. Army. I am AV Preeminent-rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Over my 30-year legal career, I have received numerous other awards and recognitions. After leaving the military, and during the above tenures, I was involved in the following types of matters:
- Oil and gas cases over 30 years from three perspectives: operator, working interest (costs), and royalty interest (land owner). This work involved approximately 250 cases throughout all of Texas.
Environmental cases over ten years involving a 120-acre site in Texas with underground leaking storage tanks, a CERCLA Superfund, a RECRA solid waste matter, many Clean Air Act cases, quarry owners, and state and federal regulatory compliance.
Receivership cases over 19 years in Texas involving millions of dollars including distressed businesses and assets, company rehabilitations, insolvencies, Federal SEC, collateral preservation, post-judgment collections, monitoring, and disbursements.
Real estate cases involving distressed properties, SBA loans, servicing collateral, DOA loans, and environmental pollution.
Intellectual property cases involving the theft of trade secrets with regard to the location, harvesting, and development of frack sand for a horizontal drilling operation in Texas. Other cases included non-compete and non-disclosure agreements and employee poaching. Other cases included equipment and processing trade secrets for an aftermarket parts manufacturer.
