Overview
James received his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Spanish from North Carolina A&T State University. White attending NCAT, he was an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated and the Blue and Gold Marching Machine.
James graduated from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2023 with a business concentration. While in law school, he enjoyed being a member of the Corporate Law Association, being a Barbri Ambassador, and serving on the Executive Board of the Black Law Students Association.
James received his law license from the state of Texas in 2023. James started his career in elder law focusing on wills, trusts, and estates. He then transitioned to civil litigation with an emphasis on pre- and post-judgment collections before joining the GKBK team in June 2025.
