Attorney Information

Overview

Shane Eghbal joined the McCathern Dallas office in 2016 as an associate attorney. Since joining the firm, he quickly developed and displayed a versatile legal skillset, representing his clients in a wide variety of litigation and transactional matters at every level, on both sides of the docket in state and federal court. Throughout his career, Mr. Eghbal has litigated and successfully tried a range of corporate, commercial, and personal disputes, including breach of contract, fraud, fiduciary duty, trade secret, and personal injury claims.

Additionally, Mr. Eghbal has taken a lead role in negotiating corporate transactions and preparing complex corporate agreements for several multi-million dollar entities. Notably, during only his second year as an attorney, Mr. Eghbal negotiated, tailored, and ultimately oversaw the forensic examination of a national, quarter-billion dollar company, which included all servers, accounts, and devices utilized by all of the company's officers and employees over a three-year period.

Prior to graduating from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, Mr. Eghbal worked as a law clerk at McCathern, honing his craft and gaining hands-on experience that has demonstrably earned him a leg-up in his flourishing career as an attorney. Before that, Mr. Eghbal worked in the accounting department at McCathern while earning his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University. From his time as an employee and law clerk at McCathern, Mr. Eghbal's dedication to the firm has carried over into his current role as an attorney, establishing him as an invaluable asset to the firm.

While attending law school, Mr. Eghbal became a member of the Phi Delta Phi Honors Legal Fraternity and was involved in many other campus activities. Mr. Eghbal has also devoted many hours giving back to the community, including his volunteer work with Heart House Dallas, where he assisted with the mentoring and care-taking of disadvantaged children after school.
