Bill has been in private practice his entire career, except for a brief period when he served as Vice President and General Counsel for a telecommunications company. Bill is member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Texas and Dallas Bar Association. He is also a member of the Estate Planning Council of Dallas and the North Texas Estate Planning Council. He is the Marital Property Editor for the Real Estate Property & Trust Law Reporter and speaks frequently on the issues of gift and estate taxation to a variety of groups.
