Overview
Jacob Rey is an El Paso native and proud graduate of Cathedral High School. He attended the University of Texas at Austin and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics with a Minor in Business Administration. Jacob was the President of Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity and the Director of Operations for UT’s Inter-Fraternity Council. He was awarded Phi Kappa Sigma’s Man of the Year and the Hyperion Award for modeling a Greek-life’s student’s success on campus. Outside of school, Jacob served as a Legislative Aide for the Texas House of Representatives during the 86th Legislative Session and worked as Field Director for a congressional campaign. Jacob went on to receive his J.D. from the Texas Tech University School of Law. During his time in law school, Jacob took part in the Advanced Dispute Resolution Clinic where he mediated cases involving family and bankruptcy law. Jacob was also an involved member of the Board of Barristers and served as its Director of Trial Advocacy. His recognitions include Mock Trial Champion and Top Oralist, TEX-ABOTA Best Voir Dire, Moot Court Quarterfinalist, ABA Arbitration Regional Semifinalist, and Distinction Awards in Legal Writing and Cybersecurity Law and Policy. On his free time, Jacob enjoys to golf, shoot, fish, watch sports, and spend time with his loved ones (especially his dogs). He is excited to be back home in El Paso and looks forward to fighting for what his clients deserve.
