Hired Attorney 2018-2021A refund and an apology would be nice but screw all that I paid in full for tickets paid in full didn't find out till 6 months or so later with all the craziness going on racial tension, police brutality, voters rights and voters feeling cheated covid 19 , people sick and dead but the injustices and the people getting to feel supercheated..some cheated out of their last...ppl getting pissed off ...all this man is going on... racial tension police brutality makes you think about others....it should anyway and just trying to do the right thing here and right now...this law firm placed me in situation, i was trying to avoid POLICE and twice, i have to be confronted by police convince them to not to take me jail. Only bc what i told the officer made sense.. PAID these guys Campbell law firm and im now disguised to the max..i get yanked over by the police months later in North Richland Hills of all places me and the police almost had differences because he tells me I got warrant and Im like seriously? B&$%##..I know darn well I'm good, well tried to call these law abiding law ppls office to get straightened out now they set another court date they don't show up, they even verify to be there and the time and cancelled couple hrs right before court, i already took time off work to handle this and they no show.... now the court is telling me I am about to go to jail because i refused to pay again twice and in court paid again twice because I didn't want to go deal in jail that day, depend on him get me out WHOMP WHOMP.. and it hurt me so bad how they did me, I just am not through with this law firm until ppl know the crooks they are...i can say that bc i can prove it...remember in the beginning of this review, I asked for a refund and apology, i was gonna asking for an apology because I thought it was the nice think to do on here....but screw all that...this guy got the reviews and reached out, didnt know anything about the MY case and I actually tried to listen and he reads back an email telling me "Looks like you no showed for your court date" i thought about it and i just listened, hoping he would tell me, he sent the notice via email, well he did, so I had to let him know....that was "my" email telling you that you NO SHOWED, i had to actual ask him if he was a real lawyer, he said yes for 10yrs, called me a client after all this time I felt disrespected, he never fixed issue, as our last conversation was you look at my case and tell me how you can fix it...HE NEVER CALLED BACK....been waiting weeks now... I almost went to jail twice dealing with your firm...I don't even want the apologies....let me see where else i can shed light on my experience so ppl dont have to waste your time waste your money and most importantly RISK your life....unnecessarily God Bless You All but this law firm acted like they care, got the money, no showed, and made nothing but excuses but took the money without refund or doing the work.... FIND ANOTHER LAW FIRM IF YOU WANT RESULTS IS MY EXPERIENCE....

Hired Attorney 2016-2019I hired him in 2016 on my divorce case with the utmost confidence. I ultimately ended up losing my children, a portion of my disability and property. DO NOT DO IT!!

Hired Attorney 2016-2019This guy is the absolute WORST as it relates to family law. Initially he appeared to be very concerned about my situation and my children. The most I conversed with Michael was when it was time for a payment to be made. He even threatened to drop my case near the end because of the balance due. I’m disabled and trying to live on SSI isn’t easy at all. He was very well aware of this prior to taking my case. Ultimately we ended up in mediation (which was HORRIBLE)... I lost my kids AND my ex out right LIED about his income to avoid giving me what I deserve in spousal support. Michael didn’t ask that he verify the amount he made, he said NOTHING. He didn’t point out the fact that I live in a better neighborhood with better schools, NOTHING. He even came to me right before leaving court the SAME day of the mediation and advised me that the spousal support was to be paid by the 1st, if not he told me to let him know and he’d request that it be automatically taken out of his checks.THAT SAME DAY I informed him that the title to my vehicle is in my ex’s name AND he has a title loan on it, he told me that he would have to have that title loan paid off in 30 days and return my title to me. After advising him of this he left the room as if he was going to have everything included in the mediation agreement, or so I THOUGHT. #LIES About a month later I asked him about my title loan the same day I asked him about the spousal support and his excuse was, “oh well the truck wasn’t apart of it.” He THEN tells me for the spousal support payment he has until THE END OF THE MONTH to have it paid. As my lawyer, if he’d advised me to what I was signing to the FULLEST extent, I NEVER would’ve signed those papers. Now here I am trying to find EFFECTIVE legal representation to attempt to fix this mess. So if you need a family lawyer, please run as fast as you can AWAY from this dude!!!!! DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN..... He’s FULL of lies, he’s lazy, incompetent, he doesn’t know THE FIRST thing about family law, just don’t do it... YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!! HE WILL be negatively reported to the BBB AND the Bar Association...

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
