Overview

Stephen "Steve" Turkett was born in Fort Worth and grew up in San Antonio. However, he has lived in the metroplex for many years now. Steve attended law school at the University of Houston Law Center and graduated with honors. Over his 24+ years in practice, he has handled many types of cases in several different areas of law. In recent years his practice has focused on guiding people through the important decisions and transitions of life. Steve focuses on elder law, probate, estate administration, guardianships, special needs planning, and general estate planning. He is also well-versed in business formation and succession planning. He has rendered hundreds of oil and gas title opinions and represents upstream oil and gas players as well as mineral interest owners in a wide variety of oil and gas, real estate, and title matters.

Steve is married and has two sons. He has several family members with special needs, particularly autism (Asperger's Syndrome), ADHD, and learning differences. He knows full well the challenges families face when planning for their special needs child's future. Steve serves on the Board of Trustees for Temple Christian School in Fort Worth. He enjoys playing guitar and bass with his church praise team.
