Ms. Taylor represented Monika Latigo in a family divorce 13-DCV-210640. She suborned Ms. Latigo to commit fraud on the court and on her marital estate. Ms. Taylor is being subpoenaed as a witness for unethical conduct and she now avoids the service. She shut down her website to come across as she has retired when her office still remains open. Ms. Taylor obtained receivership of Ms. & Mr. Latigo's home, the receiver was her friend Patricia Reynolds and sold the home $300k below market value. She charged Ms. Latigo $160k and when the evidence was supplied to the Fort Bend Court to take Judicial Notice, Ms. Taylor dumped Ms. Latigo as a client to defend for herself the fraud that Ms. Taylor instructed and intimidated her to commit. If you know where she can be found, please let us know as she is basically on the run from process servers. Now, it has been uncovered, based on doctor evaluation, the children to Mr. and Ms. Latigo have been mentally and psychologically abused, a tactic believed to be Ms. Taylor's to prevent a standard possession order between the two parents.

Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
