Attorney Information
Overview
Amy E. Dunn is a Houston-based personal injury attorney focused on catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and high-stakes litigation involving commercial vehicles and corporate negligence. She represents individuals and families across Texas in cases where the consequences are life-altering and the opposition is well-resourced.
Before starting her practice, Ms. Dunn spent eight years in New York City, representing Fortune 500 companies in complex litigation involving Wall Street banking. That experience now gives her a strategic advantage when litigating against large corporations and insurance carriers.
Amy has recovered substantial compensation for clients in cases involving 18-wheeler collisions, commercial trucking accidents, and fatal incidents. As part of the Kherkher Garcia rideshare litigation team, she plays a key role in representing survivors of Uber and Lyft-related assaults, helping bring accountability to companies operating in largely unregulated spaces.
Raised between Houston and Taiwan, Ms. Dunn developed an early understanding of adaptability, discipline, and the importance of perspective. These qualities that continue to shape her approach to client advocacy.
Amy Dunn is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston Law Center. She previously served on the Board of Directors for the Houston Trial Lawyers Association.
Outside of her legal work, Ms. Dunn is a certified yoga instructor (200-hour YTT), a classically trained violinist and pianist, and a published photographer. She is currently working toward visiting all 63 U.S. National Parks, with more than 20 completed.
Amy Dunn has been selected to serve as a judge for statewide pageants, including Miss Texas USA, Miss Texas Teen USA, and Miss Grand Texas. In these roles, she evaluates candidates on communication, composure, and leadership, with a particular focus on interview performance under pressure.
Her involvement reflects a commitment to mentoring young women as they develop confidence, presence, and the ability to advocate for themselves. These are the same skills she brings to her work with clients.
