Emilee Morgensen - Houston, TX

Emilee Morgensen is an Associate Attorney at Skillern Firm, where she represents clients in a variety of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, modifications, and enforcements. She is committed to helping clients navigate difficult legal issues with professionalism, compassion, and clear communication, understanding that every family and every case is unique.

Emilee earned her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston, where she developed a strong foundation in family law through extensive clinical, judicial, and private practice experience. Before joining Skillern Firm, she worked with several respected family law firms throughout the Houston area, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, preparing discovery, participating in mediations, and working directly with clients in divorce, child custody, and other family law matters. She also completed a judicial clerkship with the 246th Family District Court, gaining valuable insight into courtroom procedures and the judicial decision-making process. Her experience also includes estate planning and probate, providing her with a well-rounded legal background and an understanding of the issues that often affect families.

As a first-generation law student, Emilee demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership and academic excellence. While attending South Texas College of Law Houston, she earned a Dean’s Merit Scholarship and was recognized as the Outstanding Outreach Coordinator for the Oil and Gas Society. She was also actively involved in numerous student organizations, including the Animal Defense Legal Fund, Women’s Law Society, and First Generation Law Student Society. Prior to law school, Emilee graduated from Augusta University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Sociology, where she held several leadership positions and developed a passion for advocacy and public service.

Outside the office, Emilee enjoys spending time with her dog and is a proud dog mom. She also volunteers in the preschool ministry at The Woodlands Church, where she enjoys serving young children and supporting families in her community.
