Overview
German Lara is an associate in our Business and Civil Litigation Department, bringing over 20 years of experience in corporate, transactional, and litigation matters. He began his legal career as a judicial law clerk to a federal judge in Corpus Christi, Texas, and later served as in-house counsel for three multinational corporations, managing both domestic and international legal matters.
German’s corporate experience spans a wide range of industries, including beverage, oil and gas, offshore services, maintenance, cruise, and power plant operations. He has led complex international transactions and negotiations across these sectors, developing a deep understanding of global business dynamics.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law. A dedicated legal practitioner, German enjoys both the intellectual rigor of traditional legal research and the efficiency of modern legal technologies.
A lifelong Houstonian raised inside the 610 Loop, German is a local resource for where to go—and where not to—especially when it comes to food. He is admitted to practice in Texas and remains committed to serving clients with insight, integrity, and experience.
