Overview
Jake Leggett received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas in 2017, and his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas in 2020. Jake was admitted to the practice of law in 2020, in Texas. He has been licensed to practice in Southern Districts of Texas in the United States District Courts. In 2020 and part of 2021, Jake practiced at The Garner Law Firm, where he practiced Insurance Law focusing on subrogation claims. In 2021, Jake was an associate at Robert D. Clements Jr., PLLC, where he practiced general civil litigation in the areas of Wills Trust and Estates law, Family Law (which included handling contested divorces) and Probate law. Jake joined Gregg & Gregg in 2022 and has headed up our HOA department since joining our firm. He also assists our partners within the municipal arena crafting ordinances, attending council and board meetings, attending Prosecution dockets and researching State and Local Government Codes with respect to election issues, short term rental issues and various other municipal issues that arise daily. In addition, Jake prepares closing documents for various title companies throughout the area and handles a multitude of transactional and landlord/tenant clients.
