Overview

Attorney John T. Hayes has an unwavering commitment to helping the immigrant community and advocating for their legal rights. As the son of immigrants, he understands the challenges faced by this community in the United States.

John obtained a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and a master's degree in Business from Northeastern University in Boston, with high honors. Subsequently, he attended the Law School at the University of Puerto Rico, where he earned his Juris Doctor (JD) with magna cum laude. He completed his Master of Laws (LLM) degree graduating Summa Cum Laude from Northwestern University in Chicago.

John is licensed to practice law in Washington, D.C and Puerto Rico. He is also admitted to practice before the Fifth Circuit Courts of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Before joining Naimeh Salem and Associates, John focused on civil and criminal law. Later in his career, he transitioned to the practice of immigration law in the state of Maryland and Texas, where he successfully represented immigrants and their families in deportation proceedings and advocated on behalf of his clients before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.

John is fluent in English, French and Spanish. His commitment is to advocate for his clients with integrity, compassion, and effectiveness.
