Marcos A. Bonilla-Colondres, Esq., was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He is a dedicated attorney committed to providing quality legal services to individuals and families as part of the litigation team at Naimeh Salem & Associates, PLLC. Attorney Bonilla-Colondres attended InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a major in forensic investigation.
After graduating from college, he attended the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, where he earned his law degree, Magna Cum Laude, as well as his LL.M. in Health Law, also Magna Cum Laude, ranking in the top 5% of his class. Attorney Bonilla-Colondres is licensed in the Puerto Rico State Bar. He is also licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.
While in law school, Attorney Bonilla-Colondres served as an intern for a pro bono litigation team, where he participated in a class action lawsuit seeking benefits for persons with cognitive disabilities. That experience helped develop attorney Bonilla-Colondres’ commitment to justice and equality for all. As an attorney, he is committed to using his knowledge and skills to help noncitizens achieve their goals for a better life here in the United States.
Following his move to Texas, Attorney Bonilla-Colondres has focused his legal career solely on U.S. Immigration Law. Attorney Bonilla-Colondres primarily focuses on removal defense in both detained and non-detained immigration courts. With extensive experience in asylum, adjustment of status, and cancellation of removal, he has successfully litigated hundreds of cases. In addition to his litigation practice, Attorney Bonilla-Colondres represents clients in matters before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), including affirmative asylum, adjustment of status, and naturalization applications.
Attorney Bonilla-Colondres is currently the American Immigration Lawyers Association Liaison for the Conroe Detained Court. Attorney Bonilla-Colondres is fluent in Spanish.
