He then attended Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law, attaining his law degree in 1969. He would then become the General Counsel of the Jetero Corporation, which was, at the time, the largest developer of multi-family housing in the United States. From here, he entered his private law practice, primarily focusing on commercial real-estate law and other complex commercial law matters. His extensive experience tackling a wide spectrum of legal cases provided him with the versatility and adaptability that serves him and his clients to this day.
