Overview

Lanny D. Ray attended Northeast Louisiana University and graduated cum laude with a B.B.A. in 1982. After graduating, Lanny was in the U.S. Army until 1993 when he left the Army as a Captain and began working on his Juris Doctorate. Lanny received his J.D. in 1996, graduating cum laude from Baylor University Law School. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1996. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and several Federal district courts and the Federal courts of appeal.

Before coming to Huntsville, Texas, Lanny practiced law in Tacoma, Washington, College Station, Texas and clerked for the Louisiana Supreme Court under the Honorable Justice Chet Traylor.
