no star. My mistake is to trust that everyone is decent and morally sound, especially for an attorney who claims to follow the law. Her voice seems sweet while her appetite for money is so greedy. Please be careful, she might give you a discount in attorney fee. However, she would charge every single message she read and every message she returns. She especially likes to schedule hearing. It seems that she stands at your side to help you. Behind the hearing. she makes sure that she shows up and stays for the whole session of the hearing and charges for the whole session which she might be presenting for small portion. In the hearing, she does like to bully the pro se with full of lies. Until now, she has already scheduled 5 hearings, nothing has been achieved in the case except the big money flowing into her pocket. It is hard to believe that an attorney uses the law to shield her lies and grow wealth for herself. She doesn't have any moral in her dictionary. She will definitely get the state bar involved. Lie will never stand. She can only beat pro se. She forget that state bar is behind her.

I can tell that she take your case as important as any other cases she might be working on it, your case is unique and she will tailoring to match the uniqueness of the case and you. She and her team will keep you posted on everything that pertained to your case by email, call and other medias. I appreciated that she took my case and prepared for mediation in less than 2 weeks. Hence I had everything pertained to my case in hand for our first meeting, it made easy to her and to me; just few attorneys will do that and she was the one that took me in; she was confident and was able to help. She was straight forward with me, I knew upfront how much to pay, what I would get from her and her team, and how they would break down the pay for the services, every transaction was transparent. She is kind and strong and uses powerful and update words easy to understand; she does not sugar coat and I love it. Family matters are never easy but let someone like Attorney Stacy Henderson handle it for you, she does have knowledge in the area and will be your best asset, she will add the professional and human touch to it and it will make a huge difference at the end. I trusted and believed in her services and was not disappointed. Thanks Attorney Stacy Henderson and Team.

Stacy Henderson is professional, detail-oriented, caring, honest, and bright. I have been working with Stacy on a family law matter pertaining to my 3 daughters for nearly a year. In all legal matters, honesty with your lawyer is key. Not only was I honest, but I presented her with every detail that I had documented over a 3 year period, and she was able to bring all of that evidence into a very strong, evidence-based narrative. The point here is that you must help your lawyer help you. Because she had so much evidence she was able to do her best work. Through Stacy's effective questioning in our initial hearing, a calm and humble attitude, and the determination to pursue truth, the judged ruled justly and we received the results we were looking for. I am very thankful for Stacy. She cares, and her actions prove it.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
