Overview
Stephen J. Zayler graduated from the University of Tyler in 1979 where he was on the President's Honor Roll from 1978-79 as well as Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities in 1978. After Graduating from the University of Tyler, he attended the Texas Tech University School of Law and graduated in 1982. He has been practicing law ever since.
Steve has over 30 years experience as a practicing attorney and over 20 years experience as a Chapter 7 Trustee for the Eastern District of Texas. He has handled over 20,000 cases as a Chapter 7 Trustee with some of the cases being consumer bankruptcies and other being very complex business bankruptcies.
In addition to his busy practice, Steve has served on the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Texas Local Rules Committee from 1993 to 1995 and then from 2010 to present.
Steve has earned gratitude and respect from his colleagues, clients, bankruptcy court officials by hard work, integrity and being committed to providing high quality legal services. He has his practice limited mainly to Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies for individuals and businesses.
