Overview
Sarah practices in the firm's Litigation Section. She is licensed to practice before all Texas state courts and the United States District Courts for the Western and Southern Districts of Texas. Sarah has been recognized as a Rising Star by Texas Super Lawyers in 2016 and 2017.
Prior to joining the firm Sarah practiced law in Houston focusing on serving large corporate clients employment, personal injury, and commercial litigation needs. Since moving to Midland and joining the firm, Sarah now brings this experience and her focus on finding client driven solutions to her clients in Midland.
AREAS OF CONCENTRATION
Sarah has experience litigating commercial and contractual disputes. She has successfully resolved lawsuits through trial, summary judgment and voluntary settlement for individuals and corporations in cases involving contract disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, collection matters, products liability, commercial tort/DTPA lawsuits, fraud, and misrepresentation.
Employment Law Litigation
Sarah devotes a substantial portion of her practice to cases involving employment law issues. She has represented clients in discrimination, wage and hour, and over time proceedings. She has also been involved in the resolution of numerous lawsuits involving non-competition, non-solicitation, and trade secret cases. She works closely with the employer to resolve the issue in a time effective manner that allows the company to still move forward to meet to goals.
Personal Injury and Insurance Defense
Sarah devotes a significant portion of her practice to defending clients who have been sued in cases involving claims for personal injury and wrongful death, including oilfield injuries, on-the-job accidents and automobile accidents. She works with a number of insurance companies and their insureds in all aspects of personal injury lawsuits, including claims investigation, pretrial discovery and trial representation. She works closely with the insured to make sure their goals are met in a cost and time effective manner.
Oil and Gas Litigation
Sarah has worked closely with clients involved in oil and gas related disputes ranging from oil field accidents to business disputes.
