Attorney Information

Overview

Every complex divorce case has its strengths and weaknesses. Clint Westhoff has the insight and experience to see them clearly, the result of combining analytical and technical skills with his deep knowledge of the law. Bringing objectivity to the case, Clint helps clients weigh the pros and cons of the settlement so they can wisely allocate resources to pursue what is achievable.

Once achievable goals are set, Clint advocates aggressively for each client. He is also able to provide an invaluable sense of assurance during what is, for most people, one of the most stressful experiences they will ever face. His prowess in representing clients both in and out of the courtroom has earned him the respect of his peers, which is reflected in his inclusion on the list of Texas Rising Stars by Thomson Reuters for each year from 2004 through 2010.

Clint grew up in the small town of St. John, Kansas, and obtained his bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University in 1994. After graduating with deans honors from Washburn University School of Law in 1996, he spent the first three years of his legal career working for Kansas Legal Services. There he very quickly established extensive courtroom experience by representing disabled children in the foster care program, the elderly, and clients with incomes below the poverty line in divorce, custody, and domestic abuse cases. After becoming licensed in Texas in November 1999, Clint moved to Texas and limited his practice exclusively to more complex family law cases. He has now been practicing law for more than fourteen years, over a decade of which has been dedicated exclusively to the practice of family law in Texas. Clint is also certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Family Law.
